Well… in 2012, I was in the exact same place that you are now.

I was researching this whole “blogging” thing in my dorm room at George Washington University.

I had sooo many questions on my mind, like “how much money can you actually earn from a blog?” and “what’s the fastest way to go full-time on my blog?”

Just like you, I had seen the online success stories and was wondering whether or not this was something that I could actually do to earn a healthy income.

As I was wondering this, I distinctly remember the horrible smell of a glorious slice of $0.99 7-Eleven pizza.

The time was fall of 2012. I admit, it wasn’t the most nutritious dinner, but I didn’t have a lot of cash at the time.

After all, I was in college!

As I dabbed at the greasy pizza slice with a paper towel, I began to imagine what it would be like write blog posts for a living.

I could work from wherever I wanted, whenever I wanted.

I could get paid for doing what I loved… writing!

I wouldn’t have to put up with an annoying boss and stupid corporate inefficiencies.

Most of all, the promise of making six or even seven figures online was too appealing to ignore.

At that time, I had NO IDEA whether or not this blogging thing would really work. I kind of doubted myself, to be honest.

Like… a lot of doubt.

I didn't know anything at all when it came to “online marketing.”

I had no money to spend on fancy advertisements or any kind of equipment.

But, I did have one thing. I had the desire to do better in my life.

For once, I decided that I was going to take action, no matter what happened.

I might be a laughingstock among my friends. I might waste my time on something silly. But, I was going to at least try.

The potential rewards far outweighed the risks!

This is the moment that I went “all-in” and committed myself to becoming a professional full-time blogger.

It wasn’t easy. There were many failures and stumbling blocks along the way. I learned a lot of difficult lessons.

But, it was all worth it. Two years later in 2014, I finally realized my dream.

For the first time in my life, I earned $30,000 from my blog.

I felt like I was rich. It was more money than I had ever made in my life, and what’s more, it was all from doing something I loved.

The next year, I earned $50,000.

I started to see more and more people becoming interested in my work. I was cited in many major media publications, like Forbes, CNN, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and more.

I’m happy to share with you that last month I earned more revenue than my entire first year in 2013 .

Crazy, huh?

Now… you might be thinking… “well, that’s all great for you, Sal, but what about me??”

Oh man. I wish I had a mentor when I was getting started. It would have changed my life. I would have succeeded so much faster.

You know what?! I just wish that I had someone I could trust and that would help me along the path. That’s what I really wanted.

As I’ve become older, I’ve cared less and less about making money and more about building a legacy.

I want to impact the world for the positive.

Why Blogging is So Lucrative

Let’s be honest. Most bloggers struggle to make ends meet.

In fact, I’d say that the majority of bloggers are NOT making a full-time income. They’re just doing it as a hobby.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with that. We all have our own hobbies. I love to fly drones and make vlogs.

The weird thing is that when you do some research, you’ll quickly discover that a handful of bloggers are absolutely killing it.

They’re making a very good living doing what they love.

How can that be?

Why is it that the “rewards” go to a select few?

Why is blogging so lucrative for them.

The answer is the same reason why most people have been to a gym in their lifetime, but chances are, they aren’t as fit as they’d like to be.

Perseverance and training.

Simply put, most people quit way too soon. They are dabblers. They try out blogging for a month, maybe two, and then go on to other things.

At the time you are reading these words, I have written over 800 blog posts in my lifetime.
